We send cold outreach. We would rather say so plainly and tell you exactly how we do it than pretend otherwise. This page sets out where your details came from, what we will and will not send you, and how to make it stop. One reply is enough.
Who we are
Zaakir Adia trades as Adia Solutions, based in London, United Kingdom. We are the sender of every message described here, and we are responsible for it. Nothing is sent on our behalf by a third party we have not named.
Who we contact, and who we do not
We contact named people at organisations, in their working capacity, about their work. That is the whole of it.
- We do not email consumers, and we do not email personal addresses.
- We do not buy, rent, trade or harvest lists.
- We do not send to generic addresses where we have no reason to think the role is relevant.
- We do not contact anyone who has told us not to, at any address, ever again.
Where your details came from
Business contact details, taken from public sources such as company websites and professional networks, or from business data providers. We hold your name, your role, your work email address, your employer, and any correspondence between us. Nothing more.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests under UK GDPR: ours in offering a service, weighed against your right not to be bothered at work. We only approach people whose role makes the subject relevant, and electronic marketing to corporate subscribers is permitted on that basis under PECR. If you tell us the balance came out wrong for you, you win, immediately and without having to argue it.
What we send
A short first email, and at most a small number of follow-ups if you do not reply. If you do not respond to the sequence, it ends and we do not start it again.
On LinkedIn we send connection requests only. We do not send automated direct messages, and we do not run automated messaging sequences on the platform.
How our mail is authenticated
Every sending domain we use publishes SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, so a receiving server can verify that a message claiming to come from us actually did. Our outreach domain enforces a reject policy, which means mail that fails those checks in our name is refused rather than delivered.
- We send from domains we own and that identify us.
- Our subject lines describe what the message is about.
- Our reply-to address is monitored by a person.
- We include a physical business location and a way to stop the mail in every sequence.
What we will never do
- Disguise who sent the message, or use a misleading sender name or subject line.
- Use a reply-to address that nobody reads.
- Continue after you have asked us to stop, or ask you to confirm that you meant it.
- Pass your details to anyone else for their own marketing.
- Pretend a cold message is a reply to something you sent.
- Claim a prior relationship, a referral or a shared connection that does not exist.
How to stop it
Reply and say so. One reply is enough, it is permanent, it covers every address and every channel we have for you, and you never have to give a reason. You can also use the unsubscribe link in any message, or write to zaakir.adia@adiasolutions.io.
We action it on the same working day. We keep a record of the fact that you opted out, because that record is what stops us contacting you again, and we hold nothing else about you after that.
If you think we got it wrong
Write to zaakir.adia@adiasolutions.io and tell us what happened. If a message of ours reached you and should not have, we want to know how, because that is a fault in our process and not a cost of doing business.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first, but it is your right either way.
